Getting busy for show

OK. The laundry is done. The grass is cut. The lunches made. No one is here so I'll quickly tell you that I'm getting ready for a show and sale this summer at the Banting House, here in London. July 16th and 17th I will have my own tent with work for sale, and I've been building up some new work for this event. Half of the sales will go to The Banting House which is a Museum dedicated to the history of Sir Fredrick Banting's legacy as the discoverer of Insulin, and an artist in his own right. I thought this would be a good opportunity, so I'll delay no further and start painting!

Artist Educators

The 5 week course for artists called the Artist Educator Foundations course" is now complete.
I met many wonderful artists from different backgrounds and disiplines.
I'll be following their blog closely for the next while. Let's hope it's the beginning of new possibillities!

I wrote a little poem for Matthew and Karen, our teachers in the course.
I hope to be able to learn more from them someday.
Here it is, I posted it on the AEGC blog earlier today:

A thank you poem for Matthew and Karen.
I'm not a poet but I think I'll try:
Thanks Matthew and Karen for opening my mind
You gave me the tools that I can use
You showed me how to walk in your shoes.
We came together for a moment brief
Those of us who want to teach.
The lessons learned
The friends we made
Cemented forever
The foundation is laid.
The brush the clay the song the dance
The poem the words the music the act
Whatever our artform we want to teach
Now it is within our reach
We know now what to do 
It's up to us to carry it through.
